Hard Rubber Linings

Natural rubber (NR) or polyisoprene rubber (IR) is used as the basis for the production of hard rubber linings. In special cases, e.g. nitrile rubber (NBR) will be applied. The polyisoprene (IR) is a synthetic rubber which exhibits the same properties as the natural rubber.

The material is characterized by broad chemical resistance and good processability and blends are often used to improve the properties of hard rubber lining e.g. natural rubber (NR) and isoprene rubber (IR) to achieve a better uniformity of the lining material or natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) to achieve improved chemical resistance.
